When the Buie family settled in Santa Barbara in 2008 they bought a modest 1700-square-foot ranch-style tract home built in 1962. Determined to stay in their beloved Rancho San Antonio Creek community, the Buies enlisted the help of local architecture firm Anacapa Architecture to reimagine the space and oversee an extensive remodel. Principal Architect Dan Weber breathed brand new life into the property, adding over 800-square-feet and transforming home into a stunning, authentic “arts and crafts” style craftsman home—a style made famous by architects Greene + Greene.
Sometimes things just come together so nicely. In a week without clouds I was pleasantly surprised to find beautiful clouds over the mountains. The depth they provided was priceless and coupled with such a well-designed and meticulously-crafted house, this one goes down as timeless.
