I had the privilege of contributing to Edible Santa Barbara’s recently-published Summer 2012 issue. Edible is a beautiful, free publication featuring local food and wine throughout Santa Barbara county. They always put out a hearty magazine full or recipes, notable people, events, and a copious amount of useful information.
The first three images are from the cover article on the edible daylily. Before trying the recipe we were warned that these flowers can cause an allergic reaction in some. The cooked lily has a delicate but crunchy texture and, luckily, didn’t cause any of us to feel a reaction other than delight.
The fourth and fifth images are from an article on local food trucks. I had a great time meeting and working with these passionate restaurateurs.
The final image is from a pickled cucumber recipe that is easy and perfect for a hot day.
