Last winter I photographed a boat moored off Stern’s Wharf. It had rained earlier in the day and as the storm passed the sea was calm. Here is the Luna sitting proudly on the water.
Today while surfing Hammond’s I noticed yet another boat stranded below the bluffs just up from Butterfly Beach. After surfing I made my way up the coast and was saddened to find the Luna sitting above the tide line. The hull had been entirely destroyed and the valuables already looted. While only a few days ago it lived in paradise, the Luna is now but a memory. R.I.P. Luna.
