I went down to the harbor just a little while ago with the intention of photographing a concrete sailboat that had run aground just the other day. Brina and I took our boat out yesterday and as we turned the corner at the harbor entrance we were surprised to see a large sailboat washed up on the sandspit. Fortunately for the boat owner but unfortunately for me, when I got down there tonight the sailboat had already been removed from the spit. I have always had a fascination for harbors, especially at night and in the early a.m. Here are two photos I took after realizing my subject was nowhere to be found.
