Not long ago I had a portrait assignment at Brooks that required sunshine. After six days without sun in coastal Santa Barbara County I drove to L.A. and met my dad for a few photos. I got there late in the afternoon and by the time we drove up into the hills above the Chatsworth Reservoir the sun was going fast. I was able to get the shots I needed to complete the assignment and then as the sun disappeared behind the hills I took a few creative photos for myself. This is my favorite portrait from the shoot.
